As Senior Product Development Engineer at Portakabin, Stuart is involved in the design and delivery of both temporary and permanent offsite building solutions across a wide range of building sectors. After studying at the University of Huddersfield, qualifying with a BSc Hons in Product Design, he applied the engineering skill-set to both the design and manufacture of modular solutions. While working for Portakabin he has specialised in building envelope design, with a particular focus on thermal performance of the fabric and junction design. As well as working with IMA, Stuart also sits on the Technical Committee for the Modular and Portable Building Association (MPBA) and enjoys promoting the offsite sector as government looks to manufacturing to increase productivity in mainstream construction.
